Uptown Saturday Nights Ends Season With The Neo-Futurists

UPTOWN SATURDAY NIGHTS returns on Saturday, October 8 with its last event of 2016! We are beyond thrilled to be hosting this show featuring The Neo-Futurists and a one-time FREE Uptown performance of their signature show, Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind!

The Neo-Futurists, creators of over 65 original, full-length productions, are a collective of wildly productive writer-director-performers who are committed to creating immediate, non-illusory, irreproducible events at head-slappingly affordable prices.

T.M.L.M.T.B.G.B. - The Neo-Futurists' signature show, Too Much Light Makes The Baby Go Blind, which had its first performance on December 2, 1988, is now in its 28th year, making it the longest-running show in Chicago today. Too Much Light..., with its ever-changing "menu," is an attempt to perform 30 plays in 60 minutes. The single unifying element of these plays is that they are performed from a perspective of absolute honesty.

Uptown Saturday Nights, a free live performance every 2nd Saturday of the month in the Uptown Entertainment District, is hosted by Uptown United, a community economic development organization serving the entire Uptown community, and is generously supported by the Department of Cultural Affairs and Special Events
