New Uptown Facebook Groups Launch

There are a couple new Facebook groups about Uptown that readers might be interested in:

• Uptown Uplifted "aims to brings the local residents together for discussing and sharing ideas to make our neighborhood a more thriving and prosperous community. This is especially aimed at residents who are interested in supporting development projects around Uptown that will bring new businesses and ideas to fruition that will develop Uptown all around."
• Uptown Chicago Neighborhood Watch is a group of citizens who want to help alleviate crime. "Help us all by posting your shared experiences and ideas. The more we work together as neighbors, the more we can do to solve these problems."

Both groups are "closed" (Facebook-speak for "content is only available to members of the group"). Neither is endorsed by or connected with Uptown Update.
