Paper Shredding/Clean & Green In 48th Ward Saturday

From Ald. Osterman:

"This coming Saturday, April 16, is the City of Chicago's Annual Clean & Green Day, and we need your help from 9 am-1 pm as we sweep, rake, paint and plant our way through the 48th Ward to improve our schools, gardens, parks and storefronts.

Here are some of the sites we'll be tackling: Berger Park, Buttercup Playlot, Cedar Playlot, Edgewater Gateway Garden, Edgewater Library, Goudy, Hayt, Peirce and Swift Schools, Senn Park and more!

Volunteers will meet at 9 am at the 48th Ward Streets and Sanitation Yard, 5853 N. Broadway, to pick up cleaning supplies and equipment. If you plan to join us, please contact Cecilia at cecilia@48thward.org or 773-784-5277.

After the chores are completed, all volunteers are invited to join us at the Ward Yard for refreshments. Click here for information

Please note: There also will be a Paper Shredding Event from 9 am-noon (or until the truck is full) that day at the Ward Yard."
