What's Up With Ross?

What's going on with the promised Ross Dress For Less store at 918 West Montrose, which put up a "Coming Soon" sign last summer?

It appears Ross is going through the onerous Chicago building permit application process. According to the City's website, it's applied for and is going through the approval process for all these:
  • ZONING REVIEW
  • ARCHITECTURAL & FIRE REVIEW
  • STRUCTURAL REVIEW
  • PLUMBING REVIEW
  • ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW
  • VENTILATION REVIEW
  • REFRIGERATION REVIEW
  • FIRE PREVENTION REVIEW
  • ELECTRICAL REVIEW
  • MAYOR'S OFFICE/PEOPLE W/DISAB
  • LANDSCAPE REVIEW (ZONING)
  • PRELIMINARY INTAKE REVIEW
  • FINAL DATA REVIEW
  • REVENUE REVIEW
  • CIVIL/STORMWATER REVIEW
It's amazing anything ever gets done. But it's in the works, folks.
