Now & Then, Wilson & Clifton

The former "Bachelor Hotel" building in 1974 (Bob Rehak)
Same building today at Wilson & Clifton, currently being rehabbed
Back in 1974 when photographer Bob Rehak documented Uptown, the beautiful building at Wilson & Clifton known as the Bachelor Hotel was home to the infamous Wooden Nickel bar, Goodwill, and ALHELP Day Labor Agency. Today, the building is currently being renovated by FLATS and will soon become 40 apartments geared towards artists.

  1. It would be a fascinating project (hint, hint) for someone to revisit the sites--as many as can be identified--and photograph what's there now.
