Memorial Day Commemorations In The Area

• For those who want to remember the fallen on Memorial Day in a religious service, there will be a field mass at St. Boniface Cemetery (4901 North Clark) on Monday at 10:30am.  Rev. Msgr. Patrick J. Pollard of the Chicago Archdiocese will be the celebrant.
• Not in Uptown, but nearby, courtesy of Ald. Osterman's weekly newsletter: "The annual Memorial Day parade presented by Rosehill Cemetery and Amvets Post 243 will kick off at 10am Monday, May 25, at Clark Street and Rosehill Drive. The parade will then proceed down Clark Street to Bryn Mawr, go west to Ashland, then march on to Rosehill Cemetery, where a ceremony will be held at the Veterans Memorial. Kids are welcome to decorate their bikes and join in at the end of the parade."
