Miss Green Genes, The Shift and the Chicago Conservation Corps are teaming up to bring you a information packed recycling event on Saturday, January 10th.
As you take down your holiday decorations, bring the burnt out string lights to The Shift on January 10th between 12pm-4pm to be properly recycled by Elgin Recycling. No burnt out lights? That's ok! Still stop by to have all your recycling questions answered. We'll talk about the Blue Cart program (yes, Chicago does really recycle!), what local businesses serve as drop-off spots for items that can be repurposed and even indoor composting.
