Property Taxes -- They're Appealing

If you think your property taxes are too high, and have a good reason to appeal how they're assessed, it's time.

For taxation purposes, all of Uptown is in Lakeview Township (bordered by Western, Fullerton, Devon and the lake).  If you want to appeal your property taxes, there's a lot of information here, on Rep. Bridget Gainer's website.

Deadline is May 12, so get cracking!

Ald. Pawar sent out a notice that "Staff from County Commissioner Fritchey and Commissioner Gainer's offices will be hosting satellite hours in the 47th Ward Office this Wednesday, April 30th from 1pm to 5pm.   Please bring your most recent property tax bill (the "yellow form") and any additional documents, such as a recent appraisal, that may be helpful for your appeal."
