Uptown Stories Wants YOUR Stories

Ilana Cheyfitz of Uptown Stories, who has collected Uptowners' recollections before, is looking for even more of your stories, and will give you a portrait of yourself for participating in the project:

"Hello Residents of Uptown!

Uptown Stories, a local community storytelling team, is making a book of that will be a portrait of housing in Uptown.

We are looking for contributors who live in either an affordable apartment or SRO, or a condominium. Participants will write a short statement about themselves, their community, and their housing. We will also take portraits of each participant, which will be paired with their statement. You will receive a copy of your finished portrait for your work.
