Let CUB Help You Lower Your Utility Bills

Rep. Sara Feigenholtz and Citizens Utility Board are trying to help you lower your utility bills by hosting a Utility Bill Savings Clinic on Monday, February 3 from 6pm-8pm at the Merlo Branch of the Chicago Public Library, located at 644 W. Belmont in Lakeview.

“Every winter, we all spend more on our utility bills to stay warm and comfortable in our homes,” Rep. Feigenholtz said. “But there are many ways you can save money and ensure that utility companies are properly serving you.”

The Citizens Utility Board (CUB) is a non-profit consumer group created by the State Legislature to fight for the rights of utility consumers across Illinois. CUB challenges utility rate increases, fights for rate reductions and refunds of overcharges, and appeals unfair regulatory decisions in the courts.

Several CUB representatives will be on hand at the event to offer one-on-one assistance and provide attendees with a detailed analysis of their gas and electric bills.

This event is free and open to the public. Attendees should bring their gas and electric bills and RSVP by Friday, January 31. For more information, or to RSVP, please contact Rep. Feigenholtz’s constituent service office at 773-296-4141, email sara@staterepsara.com, or visit www.staterepsara.com.
