Tonight's Story Club Theme: Waiting

Story Club is Chicago's premier open mic for stories.

August 1st we are sharing stories about "Waiting". August will start with only the best stories from the best authors. The amazing performers this month include:
  • Samantha Irby -- Recently voted as the Chicago Reader's Best Nonfiction Writer and author of the Best Nonfiction Book by a Chicagoan "Meaty." This girl is going places and now is a great time to come and see her while you still can.
  • Shannon Cason -- Contributor to NPR's Snap Judgement, host of Homemade Stories, incredible writer, and Chicago's The Moth GrandSLAM Champion! (shannoncason.com)
  • Robert Norris -- Professor, mongol scholar, and father of host, Dana Norris.
This is a show that shouldn't be missed!  There are 3 open mic slots available. Open mic sign up starts at 7:30pm and the show gets going at 8pm.  If more than three storytellers sign up we’ll draw names for the slots.  The audience will vote and the favorite story of the evening will be posted on our website.

Entrance to the event is free and there is a suggested $5 donation.  8pm at the Holiday Club, 4000 N Sheridan.
