Redefine The Drive: One Meeting Down, Two To Go

According to the Sun-Times, things got a teensy bit heated at the Lakeview public meeting about how to change and develop Lake Shore Drive.

We're sure that the Uptown public meeting, to be held tonight, will be much calmer.

Open House: 6:00 – 8:00 p.m

If you can't make it, there's one more, Thursday night at the Peggy Notebaert Museum in Lincoln Park.

Remember, the people who show up are the ones whose voices are heard.  Remember how cheesed off everyone was when the "asia on argvie" sign went up?  Well, it was designed from public input gathered at a series of public meetings.  Those people showed up and their ideas were used.  Got a strong opinion about the LSD redesign?  Show up and let the people with the money and the clout hear about it.

Or who knows, we may be left with the transportation equivalent of a badly kerned lime green and red sign.

Here's the website for the project: http://www.northlakeshoredrive.org
