Incoming!

Uptown's not under attack!  A reminder that the Air and Water Show takes place this weekend, and the planes will be over the lakefront, loudly practicing and taking broadcast news reporters for rides beginning Thursday morning.

Close your windows and turn up the TV if you or your pets have sensitive ears.  It'll all be over by Sunday afternoon.

  1. It shouldn't be as loud this year: From the Sun Times "This year’s Air and Water Show will look and sound a little bit different.

Because of government budget cuts, military planes and boats will not be participating. That means no U.S. Navy Blue Angels or U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, no F-16, F-18 and F-22 fighter jets, and no Golden Knights, the U.S. Army’s parachute team."
