VOX 3 Presents Free Concert At People's Music School Tonight

Kick off the long weekend with a free concert at People's Music School tonight, at 7pm.

VOX 3 Collective Inc. NFP is presenting a performance called "COMEDY TONIGHT," a concert of classical music works based on the traditional Italian commedia dell'arte: a style of humorous improvised theatre.

Young professional musicians will be singing art song, opera arias and scenes, madrigals, and even some musical theatre numbers representing the various stock characters that make up the commedia. From Debussy songs to opera excerpts to a nine-voice Italian madrigal featuring nine characters talking at once, this concert combines vibrant theatricality with gorgeous musicianship. The concert is a great (free) opportunity to listen to some great music and learn a bit while doing so.
