A new show opened last month at Black Ensemble Theater, and Chris Jones of the Tribune fell in love. Here's part of his review:
Black Ensemble has long been about promoting optimism, community and feelings of togetherness. This particular show, which showcases this new North Side theater better than any show to date, goes one further. It makes the case that racial divisions in Chicagoland are totally absurd, especially when there's trouble abroad and songs within. You can read the entire review here, and order tickets here. We are so lucky to have this ground-breaking theater right here in Uptown; if you haven't see a show there, make haste!
