Looks like the ICA Building at the corner of Sheridan and Lawrence is up for landmark status, according to the Mayor's office:
The building, which was owned by Kemper Insurance until 1972, when it was donated to the Institute of Cultural Affairs, is also known as 4750 GreenRise Uptown, and is "the largest one-stop social services center in the Midwest, with more than 25 different social service agencies serving in excess of 1,000 clients each week." It's a gorgeous building and we hope a landmark designation helps to keep it intact and part of our community for a long time to come.
