Was this legal? (The name, I mean.) I believe that you cannot use "Oscar" or "Academy Award" as a party label unless you've received permission from the movie academy and that you operate the event as a charity fund-raiser.
Otherwise you're supposed to call it a "Movie Award Party" like the bars advertise "Big Game Party" on Super Bowl Sunday.
