No Pants Day On The CTA

So if you're planning on riding the Red Line this Sunday, you might want to be ready:  It's the 2012 No Pants Subway Ride, beginning at noon. Participants will meet in Rogers Park and take various Red Line trains south to Roosevelt. Along the route, participants remove their trousers and ride in their undies.  (Which, considering the condition of most CTA seats, is either really really brave or really really stupid.)

  1. Lets hope the only tracks I would see would be under the trains and not on peoples undies.

  3. I have enlisted in the "Zipcar" program or take cabs because the CTA has become so miserable to ride nowadays, bus or train.

  4. I'm sorry you're too good to ride the train or bus. I take the train everyday into downtown and it is far from miserable. Miserable is paying an arm & a leg for parking and guess. As for riding with no pants, I guess it could be kinda fun. I just can't imagine walking out in the cold with no pants on.

  6. This just seems so wrong. But I really have to wonder why? I don't think there would be anything entertaining, noteworthy, interesting, or informative about taking my pants off on the el and riding it for no purpose at all. Is it just to get a reaction? Sure seems like a waste of time.

  7. I think it's great...

If I were still young and good looking, I'd sure as hell participate. I may have to go to observe. It's performance art; It's satire; It's rebellion; It's fun.

  9. What is this crap, the first thing you say is
"I'm sorry you're too good for the CTA".
Well, yeah, I am too good for it. We all are. We should demand better service and we should stop tolerating the insanity that takes place and disrupts the system all day and all night. People need to re-learn manners and respect.

There will always be haters... More power to the pants less riders.
